Seeking a motivated, self driven Development Associate to join our team. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree required, with concentration in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related major.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate development, acquisitions, real estate private equity or related field.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with an entrepreneurial mindset and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in financial modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Experience with project management platforms, such as Procore, is preferred but not required
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) is preferred but not required
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project success

RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Research & Site Evaluation

  • Conduct comprehensive market research, including rental trends, pricing, occupancy levels, operating costs, and utility data.
  • Support the identification and evaluation of new markets and prospective development sites.
  • Create connections and develop relationships with real estate brokers in target markets
  • Lead third‑party due diligence efforts (environmental, geotechnical, survey, engineering, architectural, design, marketing, etc.).
  • Research site‑specific cost factors, including impact fees, permits, insurance, tax implications, and other development‑related expenses.
  • Support senior development team throughout all phases of design.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, interior designers, and other design professionals.
  • Assist in entitlement and rezoning efforts by preparing presentation materials and attending, as needed, meetings with municipalities and other local stakeholders.
  • Underwrite and model development opportunities to assess project feasibility, risk, and overall value.
  • Assist in preparation of investment committee materials and internal approval packages.
  • Support debt and equity closing processes by preparing due diligence materials and supporting partner requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with CRG’s construction team
  • Manage development budgets and schedules
  • Assist with monthly draw packages, lender reporting, and cost forecasting
  • Support transition from construction to operations
  • Assist with lease-up projections, operating budgets, and performance tracking

Due Diligence Support

As designated by supervisor and determined by the needs of the Company. Additional hours may be required due to business necessity.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to pass criminal history background check prior to employment with CRG Residential and possess a valid driver license.
