Assistant Superintedent Traveling - Construction

The Assistant Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel in conjunction with the Superintendent, as required to successfully complete CRG Residential projects on schedule and within budget, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and industrial standards.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Technology 
    preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years construction-related experience.
  • Special Skills:
    • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and recognize and address work-related issues as they occur.
    • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and shop drawings.
    • Working knowledge in the Windows environment, Microsoft Office software applications, and Excel spreadsheets is necessary.
    • Regular travel ability is required. 

Physical Functions: 

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladders, to reach, lift, pull, push, balance, crouch, crawl, kneel and lift or carry weight up to 75 pounds.
  • May be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions, chemical hazards, respiratory hazards, cold weather, and hot weather.
  • The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud

Responsibilities: 

  1. Daily operation and management of CRG Residential projects.
  2. Maintain an organized job site, including the construction office/trailer.
  3. Responsible for the inventory and unloading of all construction materials purchased by CRG Residential for the project.
  4. Track and document the daily manpower of subcontractors working on the construction site.
  5. Prepare and maintain a construction schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent, identify and solve problems.
  6. Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
  7. Comply with the objectives of the OSHA Safety and Loss Control Program.
  8. Promote and ensure job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately
  9. Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other colleagues.
  10. Supervise completion of final punch lists for timely building turnover.
  11. Adhere to established CRG Residential emergency policies and procedures.
  12. Attend staff meetings, workshops, corporate seminars, and assigned training.
  13. Manage quality control procedures.
  14. Maintain cost control measures as required and/or assigned.
  15. Complete paperwork required for all material deliveries.
  16. Coordinate weekly project and safety meetings.
  17. Maintain the 3-week look-ahead schedules that are sent to vendors and subcontractors.
  18. Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  19. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification
  • Forklift & Aerial Lift Certification, if needed

Hours: As designated by supervisor and determined by the needs of the project. Additional hours may be required due to business necessity. 

Other Requirements: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and be able to pass a criminal history background check prior to employment with CRG Residential. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
